STERBHAUS To Reissue Angels For Breakfast …And God For Lunch In September; New Album Release In 2015

Stockholm, Sweden-based quartet, Sterbhaus ,who spent the better half of 2013 touring Europe with Vader and Melechesh as well as with Shining, are reissuing their album, Angels For Breakfast …And God For Lunch, worldwide via Black Lodge records. This release will also be accompanied with an exclusive limited version (500 copies) on white vinyl. The date has been set for September 26th.

The album was recorded at Abyss (T Tägtgren) and mixed by Jonas Kjellgren (Black Lounge). It nailed two top five listings in the Encyclopedia of Swedish Hard Rock and Heavy Metal and was greeted with open arms by both press and fans alike when first released on Killhead P&M.; It also took the band to South America, to Europe on aforementioned tours and on festivals alongside bands like Amon Amarth, Blind Guardian, Behemoth, Sodom, Entombed, etc.

Sterbhaus, who plays a mixture of black, death, thrash and heavy metal – timeless without being either modern or retro, calls their rather rare and honest craft “metal deluxe”.

The band also takes this opportunity to announce their new album for spring 2015. The release, tentatively called New Level Of Malevolence, will include 10-11 songs and recordings will start during the fall of this year.

Marcus (vocals/bass) has the following to say about the metal scene and what to expect from the coming new album: “We have been kinda bitching about how bloody crappy most of Metal productions are today. The modern age has made it so damn easy to cheat your way thru the recordings and end up with a stale, clean, slick and completely uninspired product. For the audiophile they may sound swell but Metal is more than that. In my opinion this is what’s killing off the good aspects of the scene and not people downloading or labels not pushing cash into expensive recording studios. It’s the bands obvious uninterest in treating each release as the most damn important shit in the world that’s killing the genre atm. We’re gonna do our part in working against all this. Actually that is our mission. You can expect absolutely no fillers and only killers… much as the last album that we're reissuing now, but with the belt tightened quite a bit more.”

The album will see the return of Erik Röjås on drums as Peter Lindqvist of the lineup known from the last tours has been relieved of his duties.

Marcus continues: “Erik did the drums for Angels For Breakfast …And God For Lunch after hearing the songs for the first time just three weeks prior to us entering the studio. The schedule was pretty tight back then and he did a completely smashing job. This time the songs are even more intense and diverse and he will have more time chiseling out what needs to be in there so it’s gonna be mindblowing. Erik has also agreed to stay in the lineup indefinitely this time so basically… Anything can happen from now on!”

Sterbhaus will keep you posted and reveal more details and info as the albums recording session progress. An exact release date is also to be announced.
