Metal Express Radio's Mick Burgess recently caught up with SWEET guitarist Andy Scott on their recent UK tour. Check out the interview using the audio player below and hear them talk about their tour with SLADE, their new album New York Connection, their upcoming performance on Rock the Boat, influencing bands like KISS and MÖTLEY CRÜE, how they developed their four vocal harmony trademark, and Scott's prostate cancer.
Scott on songwriting: "Some of those early B-sides I could never write again because there's such discordant things happening and such rhythmic things happening that when you've learned then you've become a bit more organized in your head. You can hear symphonies now. You know what the keyboard can do and you know what the harmonies can do. Back then you didn't quite know until you tried it. And hence things like 'Sweet F.A.', you know, playing the discordant chords over the intro of that. I probably wouldn't do that ever again because my head wouldn't let me."
