Guitar virtuoso, Thomas Zwijsen, will release his new album, Nylon Maiden II, on November 7th. The album artwork can now be seen below.

Nylon Maiden II is Zwijsen’s second album with arrangements of Iron Maiden songs on classical guitar. The album contains 13 tracks; 10 Iron Maiden songs, 2 original compositions and Zwijsen’s arrangement of UFO’s "Doctor Doctor" (which is played over the PA system before every Iron Maiden show).

Guest musicians on the album: Anne Bakker (violin), Ben Woods (Flamenco guitar), Mat Lehman (fretless bass), Nathanael Taekema (drums), Anton Zwijsen (Celtic percussion).

The album release show will take place at The Music Room in Dubai (AE) on November 7th and in December Thomas will embark on a South American tour, to be followed by a European tour in April.

 

 

Zwijsen first gained attention with his solo guitar arrangements of Iron Maiden songs on YouTube, gaining over 5 million views. In 2013 he toured the album Nylon Maiden extensively in South America, Europe and the Middle East and he released a tablature book for the Nylon Maiden songs. Early 2014 he released Nylonized which contained arrangements of various bands, original compositions, and featured guest musicians such as Blaze Bayley (Iron Maiden), Derek Sherinian (Dream Theater) and Kee Marcello (Europe).
