November 19, 2014, 9 years ago
At the beginning of 2014 symphonic black metallers, Welicoruss, became international due to the relocation of band’s leader Alexey Boganov from snowy Siberia to Prague, and because of the creation of the new lineup. Newly-joined musicians are Dmitriy Zhikharevich (Russia, bass), Gojko Marić (Serbia, guitar) and David Urban (Czech Republic, drums).
The band recently confirmed that their new album, Az Esm, has been completed. Many guest musicians participated in recording the 12 songs on this album, playing ethnical instruments and even singing in a small choir. Mixing and mastering was done by Alexey Stecuk (DRYGVA studio), booklet and cover art design were made by Alex Mayhem.
Alexey Boganov: ”We are very happy and we would like to thank everybody, who participated in recording process and those, who shown us their patience and understanding! We are very pleased with final result, because it has exceeded all our expectations, but all additional information will be later, because now we are pretty busy celebrating it.”
Currently band is looking for label to publish the album, and are preparing for a huge tour around Europe in spring 2015. Stay tuned for updates.
