Willie Basse - best known for his role as bassist/frontman with legendary metalheads Black Sheep - has issued the following:

"Thursday June 26th, 2014, I had the privilege to sit down and talk with Jean Beauvoir, Micki Free, and Alvin Taylor! It was quite enlightening, we covered everything from Little Richard and Chuck Berry, to the state of the current entertainment industry.

You may remember Beauvoir from, Little Steven and The Disciples of Soul, as well as The Plasmatics. He has written hits for KISS, produced The Ramones to N'Sync and so much more.

Micki Free is a Grammy Award recipient for his work on the Beverly Hills Cop movie score, while reaching multi-platinum sales success with the contemporary group, Sharlamar.

Alvin Taylor is a legendary world-class drummer that is the recipient of over 60-Gold album sales awards. Discovered by Little Richard when he was only 14-years old, Alvin shared the stage with Jimi Hendrix and Billy Preston, backing Richard on a tour with Elvis Presley. Alvin has played on hit songs by George Harrison, Sir Elton John, Eric Burdon, Ron Wood, Bob Welch, Sammy Hagar, and many others.

Collectively these gentlemen are responsible for over 50-million albums sold to date and I was able to catch up with them for a talk, music jam and some insight as to what they're up to theses days.

First, Alvin Taylor is a great friend who I was introduced to by the late, great Hendrix drummer, Buddy Miles. I remember seeing Alvin on television with Eric Burdon and from that moment forward, I knew that my purpose in life was to play rock music. Alvin has a great interview in the current issue of Modern Drummer magazine where he explains Little Richard asking his Mom to allow Alvin to tour with his band.

Micki Free is opening for Kid Rock this Thursday, July 3rd at Casino Del Sole Amphitheater in Tucson, AZ

Beauvoir is currently executive producer of a hit television show for SBS Discovery Television featuring the award winning comedian Kristian Valen, he is also recording a new album due out 2015 with Micki Free and is involved in various other TV and entertainment ventures.

After jamming on some Led Zeppelin and ZZ Top songs, Jean played me a rough mix of a new Beauvoir/Free track. It was way more than anything I expected. The song was a perfect blend of melody with power (which is very hard to achieve) it had the sound signature and flavor of their Crown Of Thorns project, but heavier, new and exciting!

Due to be released on Frontiers Records, this album will be a "must have" for rockers and music lovers worldwide.

As for Beauvoir, Free, Taylor and myself, 2014 is proving to be a powerful and exciting year, leading into vast opportunities for 2015."
