Legendary German heavy metallers ZED YAGO, who feature in their ranks acclaimed keyboard player Tony Carey (ex-RAINBOW), are working hard on the new material for a yet-untitled new album. This will be the band’s third studio effort with new singer, Yvonne Durand.

Last year, Zed Yago released a limited edition CD, Pirates From Hell, which featured Tony Carey and HELLOWEEN bass player Markus Grosskopf, who performed on the cover version of DEEP PURPLE’s 'Burn'. The video for the song 'End Of The World' can be seen below:

The story of Zed Yago started in 1988, when the band released its debut album, From Over Yonder. Critics called their style “dramatic metal”, as it was full of orchestral and classic elements. The band toured with Deep Purple and W.A.S.P., and the press called them one of the greatest German bands of that time. After a successful second album, Pilgrimage (1989), released via major label RCA, singer Jutta Weinhold left the band and formed VELVET VIPER, while Zed Yago were forced to look for a new singer.

After a long period of search, Zed Yago was joined by female singer Yvonne, who brought her passion, strong voice and charisma to the band. With the new lineup the band recorded a new studio album, The Invisible Guide (2005), and a live offering, Live - The 20th Anniversary of Zed Yago (2006). Now the band is ready to impress the metal community once again with an extraordinary new album.
