AMORIELLO – Shredguy Records To Release New Album Phantom Sounds
March 2, 2022, 2 years ago
Shredguy Records will release the new album from Amoriello entitled Phantom Sounds. The New Jersey based heavy metal guitarist Thomas Amoriello leads the charge on this traditional metal offering that includes soaring vocals, shredding guitars and a thunderous rhythm section.
An international collaboration of musicianship that ignites the metal torch with elements of neoclassical, progressive, power metal, and gothic stylings with current and former members of Firewind, Iron Savior, Burning Witches and Death. The song-oriented metal fest includes eight tracks that explore the dark and macabre with catchy anthems, shred instrumentals, a blues track and power ballad. Amoriello is honored to be a part of the Shredguy Records roster.
Amoriello states that, "Shredguy is the modern day Sharpnel Records and the label owner Michael McDowell has promoted and discovered many talented six stringers exposing their stellar musicianship to the world as Mike Varney did in the 1980's."
Amoriello is proud to have the Phantom Sounds compact disk released by Shredguy Records. Guests this time around include Herbie Langhans from Firewind, Piet Sielck from Iron Savior, Bobby Koelble from Death, Sonia Anubis from Crypta/ex-Burning Witches, Will Shaw formerly of Heir Apparent, Titta Tani formerly of Claudio Simonetti's Goblin, and Jim Rutherford of Power Theory. Age of Artemis bassist Giovanni Sena leads the rhythm along with Canadian drummer Cameron Fleury rounded out by keyboardists Anthony Stahl (Deadrisen) and Ariel Perchuk. Melitza Torres of Liliumdust concludes the recording with an operatic melisma. The recording was co-produced and mixed by Carlos Alvarez and mastered by Brett Caldas-Lima.
Phantom Sounds is available March 15 on CD from Shredguy Records.
The recording will also be released on vinyl from H42 Records in Germany in August/September 2022.
In addition to the metal project recordings, Amoriello is an educator who holds a Master of Music degree in classical guitar from Shenandoah University and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Music Education degree from Liberty University. He has authored two music-themed children's picture books and served as the Chair for the National Association for Music Education Guitar Council.
