ARAFEL, hailing from Israel/Germany, have inked a deal with NoiseArt Records and will perform at PaganFest 2011.

Arafel ("fog" in Hebrew) was created in 1997 in Tel Aviv, Israel and is now fronted by German vocalist Helge Stang, which formerly was the singer of EQUILIBRIUM.

Arafel started to play black metal, influenced by Slavonic folk music. After several line up changes and few shows, the band absorbed some hard blows which lead to the decision of changing the course and it went so far by adding a violin as part of the line-up. Early 2009 the band took its musical core to much more folk atmosphere along with rough death-metal elements and added its final member of the horde which completed the current lineup:

Helge - vocals

Felius - guitars

R.K. - bass

Leshii - drums

Nasha - violin

The band states the following about signing to NoiseArt: "We are happy and proud to be a part of Noise Art Records and Rock The Nation family! We gave our share of blood, sweat and tears to achieve this and it set an example that if you work hard for the things you want nothing will stand in your way. We in Arafel really believe in the music we are doing and we want to thank N.A.R for believe in us too!

Arafel is more than ready to start making a battlefield bloodbath around the globe and will first invade your hometowns at PaganFest 2011 along with KORPIKLAANI, MOONSORROW, UNLEASHED, KIVIMETSAN DRUIDI, VARG and more. We are very excited to share a stage with such bands and looking forward to meet the European crowd!"

Arafel is finishing its third full-length album, which will be named For Battles Once Fought, and getting ready to knock your balls with rad, ruthless war metal.

Check out a 4-minute medley of the new album at the band's MySpace page. The album will be out early 2011 via NoiseArt Records.
