So another installment of ProgPower comes to a close, organizer Glenn Harveston publically announcing his intentions to call it quits, six years from now, at #25. The final day kicked off with Norway's Triosphere. Eclipse opted for a more accessible sound than witnessed in Germany in July but won the hearts of many when singer Erik Mårtensson had the crowd sing Happy Birthday (in real time, via cellphone video) to his twelve year old son, at home, in Sweden. Multi-talented Dutchwoman Anneke van Giersbergen brought yet another outfit to Atlanta (she was here '16 with Gentle Storm, also playing a solo acoustic set, that year). VUUR sampled her career, from The Gathering, to her collaborations with Devin Townsend. Alestorm rocked the house, even unleashing the rubber duck, which was ultimately ripped to shreds by the feverish crowd. Watch for remnants to appear as souvenirs, on Ebay. Nightcap with former Nightwish chanteuse Tarja Turunen.

A final wrap-up of ProgPower USA 2018 will be online shortly.
