Summer Breeze Day 4: Going Out With A Bang!
August 20, 2019, 5 years ago
Never fails to impress, how the multi-day European festivals not only garner such top flight talent, but stockpile it on the same day's line-up. Case in point, the finale, which saw Dimmu Borgir headline the main stage, an honor to their staying power and black metal, a music some said would never amount to anything. Brainstorm kicked off the main stage, with a helping of classic Teutonic metal.
All female Swiss band (OK, now a couple of Dutch lasses in the fold) Burning Witches upped the traditional metal stakes, with new singer Laura Guldemond. The rhythmic pounding of Grand Magus should be better known. First North American tour, this fall. Check out their infectious Candlemass meets Amon Amarth pummeling. Unleashed was the last big name to close out another successful year. Maybe 2020 will see YOU in Dinkelsbuhl? Until then, here's some visual evidence. The full Summer Breeze will report will be posted soon.
