Late last year, acclaimed dark fiction author and Broken Hope guitarist/lyricist, Jeremy Wagner, launched the indie publishing company, Stygian Sky Media, with Jarod Barbee, CEO of the award-winning horror publishing company, Death's Head Press - which is now also a part of SSM as is DHP co-founder, Patrick C. Harrison III. The company is distributed exclusively through Independent Publishers Group (IPG), the largest independent book distributor in the world.

This week, Wagner and his partners are featured on the cover of Publishers Weekly - the world's oldest and largest publishing trade magazine.

Regarding the exposure of the new Publishers Weekly cover, Stygian Sky Media//Death's Head Press co-partner Wagner says: "It really floors me to see my new company - and my mug - on the cover of Publishers Weekly along with my business partners - Jarod and Patrick. It's kinda what I imagine I'd feel like if Broken Hope was on the cover of Rolling Stone... it means a lot. It means we've 'arrived.'

I honestly didn't think I'd be a publisher... I've been writing full-time for 11 years now and I've been quite comfy with that. But as I've had love for other people's books that needed homes, and I've had ideas for books that weren't going to be mine - I knew they'd be a reality with the right publisher. So I got the itch to launch SSM thanks to the insistence of Jarod Barbee. This company is really his fault, and I'm grateful for that! So, here we are.

Partnering with IPG was a huge win for us as all of our titles will have the BEST distribution possible. As the cover of PW shows - and the SSM ads therein as well - we're exploding out of the gate in HUGE ways with some 40+ titles coming out this year, starting in Summer.
