Death Metal Victory UNLEASHED In Philly!

On the heels of an excellent Hammer Battalion, longstanding Swedish death metallers UNLEASHED have set foot on North American (like their Viking forefathers millennia ago) for a eleven track, 45 minute set in support of OBITUARY. In addition to the title track, they also aired 'Your Children Will Burn' and 'Black Horizon' from the new album. After a false start, 'Never Ending Hate' finally got going, bassist/singer Johnny Hedlund regrettably smiling at the miscue. 'This Is Our World Now' saw the crowd singing the titular chorus. A slower, plodding 'Midvinterblot' was a change of pace, prior to 'Death Metal Victory', with more fan singing, and the old-school 'Into Glory Ride; off the '91 debut. Hedlund raised his alehorn and yelled, "Hail Odin" before baptizing the gathering with beer, christening Hammer Battalion Philadelphia. Skoal!
