DEEP MACHINE, the 1980's East London metal band, has reformed. They have recruited singer Lenny Baxter (ex-GANGLAND) to join original guitarists Bob Hooker and John Wiggins (SLAM, TOKYO BLADE) and bassist Andy Wrighton (Tokyo Blade, SHOGUN) and drummer Chris Towler (Slam). Those who remember Deep Machine as one of the unsigned pioneers of NWOBHM will remember the screeching metal that blazed through the Ruskin Arms and all over the metal pubs/clubs of London in the vein of JUDAS PRIEST/IRON MAIDEN. The set contains about 15 metal classics including 'Demon Preacher', 'Asylum', 'Witchild', 'Deep Machine', 'Killer', and 'Black Priestess'. And a new song 'Deceiver'

Fresh from this weekend’s rehearsal Bob Hooker said: "It was brilliant! Really enjoyed it! I tell ya - we struck up ('Witchild' was the first song) and it sounded like thunder! Considering we had not played together for nearly 28 years, it was awesome.

The band is planning shows in early 2010 and a CD is due out next spring.
