In other news, Mitchell spoke with Susi Eggers from Rocket Queen Promotions. Here is an excerpts from the chat:

Rocket Queen Promotions: Bob, you now are playing as Bob Mitchell Band and the people already know you well from the former Band named Attacker you were singing for. You parted ways with them in 2008 ... so what's new with Bob Mitchell in 2009?

Bob Mitchell: "Great to talk to you. This is my first interview in quite some time so I want to thank you for allowing me this privilege. OK, so where do I begin..... (laughs). I never thought that I would be at a loss for words but I think as I move along here I'll be back to my old gabby self again, eh? Anyhow, yes I no longer sing with Attacker and it must be made clear to everyone that the band was a great experience for me and I am the man I am today because of them. Attacker will always be a special part of my life and I'm grateful that I have had the opportunity to front such an awesome band. But at the time and, to this day even, I had made my commitments to college as I am currently earning my Associates Degree and will soon be entering the nursing program, my work at the hospital, which is my greatest passion and my family. In truth, I just could not commit myself at a 100% level to the band and with each passing day it became more difficult for me. It just wasn't fair for me, nor was it fair for the band and so I chose to make this decision. It broke my heart to do so, but it is the best decision I have made for myself.

Susi, I had walked away without regrets and with a sense of pride and accomplishment. Since then I have progressed quite nicely with my life. I got married last July in Las Vegas and this past January my wife gave birth to our daughter Kassandra Michelle. Through our marriage I also inherited her two children, from a previous relationship that I have taken as my own. So I am now a father of three wonderful children and my wife inspires me every day. We're also planning for another baby later this year. As for college, thus far I have been averaging A's and B's, in fact, I just finished an essay and then I began this interview, lol. I just hope I don't mix the two up (laughs) when I turn my work in to my Professor.

As for my status in Music, well... so much for retiring, eh? (laughs). As an entertainer I am fully committed to my fans but I do it now for fun and I have a much better appreciation for what I do as an artist. My wife and kids encouraged me to continue on but, at first, I was dead against it because, quite honestly, I am perfectly happy with my new role in life plus, I felt as though I have done all there is to do and I really had nothing left to prove to anyone. However, my wife put it to me in this way. She said to me, 'If you don't sing ever again, then half the man I fell in love with will no longer exist. Being a singer is a big part of who you are.'

So I decided continue and have fun with it again. The album I just recorded made me realize why I wanted to sing in the first place. I miss my fans and so now through MySpace I get to stay in touch with so many of them, time permitting of course, but I do make the time when I can. Plus they really seem to be enjoying what I have done musically as of late. So to the fans I say to you, when you see me on stage again, be sure to thank Mrs. Mitchell."
