Legendary Sound Engineer For DEEP PURPLE, RAINBOW, JUDAS PRIEST Needs Assistance In Battle With Cancer

Vocalist DOOGIE WHITE (YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, CORNERSTONE) has passed along the following, courtesy of Danny Nichols:
"Dear all,Just thought I would pass this on. Those of you in "the know" may well have had this already. Nothing more to say.
I came across some very sad news the other day which may be of interest to your website visitors. Mr Gordon 'Gungi' Paterson, long time sound engineer for DEEP PURPLE, RAINBOW, JUDAS PRIEST and a host of other bands was diagnosed with cancer last year and now needs assistance.
A website has been set up by his good friends in the entertainment industry to assist Gungi and his family in their time of need. Visitors to the site can simply send their well wishes or participate in prize raffles, the prizes having been donated by famous musicians.
I first met Gungi when he toured with Rainbow (Straight Between The Eyes tour) and then with Deep Purple (Perfect Strangers) and many times afterwards.
I can honestly say he is one of the kindest people you will ever meet. If you think it is appropriate, I would be grateful if you could post the information on your site.
