SKITLIV, the new band from former MAYHEM front man Maniac, is in the studio for the next few weeks to finish recording the debut full-length album Glem Aldri Korset. Skitliv guitarist, SHINING’s Niklas Kvarforth, has already finished recording most of the guitars, and it is anticipated that the album will be completed by mid-January. The tracklisting will be as follows: 'Slow Pain Coming', 'Hollow Devotion', 'Sinners Of Forgiveness', 'A Valley Below', 'Virescit Volnere Virtus', 'Densetsu', 'ScumDrug'.
At the same time as the recording for Skitliv is going on, Maniac will also be recording the debut album from his other project SEHNSUCHT, which he has formed together with his fiancée Vivian Slaughter of GALLHAMMER, and Skitliv guitarist Ingvar. The album, which has a working title of “Narrow Birth”, will be released on the UK’s Cold Spring label in 2009.
A rehearsal version of the track 'Densetsu' has been uploaded, and together with the track 'Hollow Devotion' featuring GORGOROTH’s Gaahl, can be heard on Skitliv’s MySpace page.
