Hall Of Metal recently caught up with SYBREED guitarist Drop. An excerpt is available below:

HoM: Have anybody ever told you that you have a musical resemblance to PAIN (mainly in this last album) but more technical and less commercial? I say this because of the electronic stuff your music has.

Drop: "Yep, Pain is a realy cool band. I really like almost every work by Peter, he is a really good producer. I think Pain has influenced me in the way they make metal songs on which you can dance."

HoM: Do you consider yourselves as precursors of the new melodic death metal? There are some similar bands like TEXTURES or GOJIRA that are making a really good job lately.

Drop: "Absolutely not, cause we are not doing melodic death metal with Sybreed. It would be more something between metal, new wave and pop, with huge guitars and insane drums for sure. Gojira is an awesome band, as well as awesome people! I really enjoyed the works from Texture too. But I think with Sybreed we are not in the same style, we add more influences, influences that the 2 above mentioned bands does not have. Like synth pop songs for example (laughs)."
