Launch Radio Networks has issued the following report from Howie Edelson:

THE WHO's Deluxe Road Case boxed set from the first half of their U.S. tour is now available online. The hand-numbered deluxe road case features the band's first 20 concerts from September 12th through November 5th on both double CD sets and DVD discs. Also included in the package is a miniature tour program, and an autographed card from Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey housed in a miniature equipment road case.

The deluxe road case sells for $1,000. The collector's edition, which includes the CDs or DVDs packaged separately, is also available and sells for $475 each.

Fans should take note that the second volume of The Who's Deluxe Road Case, which covers the band's additional 20 shows performed on the tour's second leg, will be available beginning in February. Fans who order both volumes, or individual shows from the leg, will also have to wait until February for the sets to begin shipping. For more information log on to the themusic.com website.

The CDs and DVDs feature sound mixed directly from the stage by the band's longtime sound technician Bobby Pridden. Pridden, who has been mixing the Who's live sound since 1966, named Townshend's legendary multi-media Lifehouse project and went on to be immortalized on the back cover of the Who album Odds And Sods in 1974.

Pete Townshend will appear with Steve Winwood, Bill Wyman, Joe Walsh and others at a memorial concert for Traffic drummer and songwriter Jim Capaldi on January 21st at The Roundhouse in London. The concert, dubbed Dear Mr. Fantasy - A Celebration For Jim Capaldi, will commemorate the second anniversary of Capaldi's death. Capaldi died of cancer on January 28th, 2005 at age 60.

Townshend and Capaldi first performed together on January 13th, 1973 at Eric Clapton's "comeback" gig at London's Rainbow Theatre.

The Who kick off their next series of dates on February 23rd in Reno, Nevada at the Reno Events Center.
