The Tower Theater stop went off without a hitch, this tour having been start-stop due to Lemmy Kilmister's deteriorating health. Onstage, he unfortunately looked frail; his belabored motions recall the poor animatronics of Disney's Hall Of Presidents. As such, the twelve song setlist (half released in 1980, or earlier!) was devoid of the fastest Motörhead songs, apart from the obligatory “Ace Of Spades”. Phil Campbell attempted to pick up the slack with a more energetic presence. Anthrax, by contrast, was a whirl of activity, especially frontman Joey Belladonna, maniacally pacing from side to side. Guitarist Scott Ian was thrashing away on his Jackson, skanking and forming his own circle pit. A full report will be online soon.
