In a bit of irony, will miss the Floridians' performance, next week, at ProgPower. Will actually be flying FROM Philly and thus, their headlining club date at Kung Fu Necktie seemed a worthwhile replacement.

Camden Cruz and company are one of North America's hardest working acts, constantly on the road, crisscrossing the continent to appear at various festivals, augmented by their own shows, along the way. Doesn't hurt that the band are all good, down-to-Earth people. Beforehand, the guitarist confirmed that the setlist was essentially the same as would be performed in Atlanta. Onstage, singer Sabrina Valentine, she of the unorthodox, comical footwear (usually puffy slippers of some variety: Tonight: hamburgers), keeps the fans engaged with storytelling and her warm personality.

During "Chasing The Mirage" she gets th ecrowd to yell and punch the air. Cruz is a monster player, pulling faces, occasionally mouthing the lyrics and engaging the crowd that stood inches from the lip of the tiny stage. Make sure you check out their high energy take on speedy power metal, online or in the clubs.

If you missed Seven Kingdoms this go-round (or they didn't stop near your hometown), don't worry, they're sure to be back on the road in the not too distant future.
