THE NEW BLACK Celebrate 10th Anniversary With Blackfest 2017 - "Long Time Coming"

On January 7th, German rockers The New Black celebrated their 10th Anniversary in the bustling metropolis of Schweinfurt with their very own Blackfest. The band's faithful followers braved sub-zero temperatures, lousy highway conditions and a questionable assortment of beer for a night of balls-out The New Black, former tourmates Motorjesus, and local act Serpent Smile and the town's old train station, the Stattbahnhof, which now serves as a full time concert venue.
Following high energy sets from Serpent Smile and Motorjesus - the latter featuring The New Black's Christof Leim as a guest guitarist - The New Black quietly took the stage, without fanfare, for a five-song acoustic set. It was immediately followed by a 17 song full-on rock set covering the band's four album career chronologically, digging into The New Black (2009), II: Better in Black (2011), III: Cut Loose (2013), and A Monster's Life (2016).
