WHITESNAKE, WHITFORD/ST.HOLMES – Greatest Hits Live!
June 21, 2016, 8 years ago
Whitsnake is on a Greatest Hits summer tour with support from Whitford/St. Holmes (guitarist Brad Whitford from Aerosmith and guitarist/vocalist from Ted Nugent Derek St. Holmes) and with the former Deep Purple frontman David Coverdale recently telling Rolling Stone he is planning on retiring in 2017, it’s best to go see him before he hangs up the mic. The bands trekeed into the southside of Ohio in Cincinatti on June 14th at the PNC Pavilion.
Whitford/St. Holmes played a set a tracks from their new album, Reunion and also a couple tracks from their “day jobs” with Aerosmith’s “Train Kept A Rollin’” and Ted Nugent’s “Stranglehold”.
You would have thought it was 1990 with Whitesnake’s set as only tracks were played from Slide It In, 1987, and Slip Of The Tongue. Stone cold hits "Here I Go Again", "Is This Love", and encore "Still Of The Night" were played and also bluesy rocker "Slow An' Easy" and "Judgement Day" were dusted off as well. All in all a rocking time warp to the good old daze of the late '80s.
