Paul Sexton from Billboard.biz is reporting:

AC/DC returns to the top of Billboard's European Top 100 Albums chart with "Black Ice" (Columbia/Sony BMG). Black Ice moves 3-1 in its ninth week on the survey, which it led for four weeks in late October and November. It moves 6-3 in Denmark and 7-5 in Switzerland, holding at No. 5 in France.

As reported earlier, music fans snapped up almost 50,000 tickets for AC/DC's Hampden Park gig in just 75 minutes.

The tickets went on sale at 10am yesterday sparking a frenzy on websites and hotlines.

The show, which the Evening Times revealed on Saturday, is the band's first Scots gig in almost nine years.

The Black Ice World Tour arrives at Hampden Park, Glasgow on June 30.

According to Eveningtimes.co.uk, some fans were left disappointed after phonelines and websites told them they had to join the band's fan club to buy tickets.

Linda Jones, 45, of Renfrew, who wanted tickets for her husband Michael, said: "I'm furious. I've phoned the number all morning and it keeps saying I need to be a fan club member before I can buy tickets."

Promoters DF Concerts today said a first batch of tickets on general sale had sold out quickly and the rest were for fan club members, whose £25 joining fee gives them priority access for gig tickets.

They hope additional tickets for the show will become available and urged fans to check the band's website and www.gigsinscotland.com for details.

Brothers Angus and Malcolm Young, from Cranhill, emigrated to Australia before forming the band in 1963.
