news life in black acheron

US militant black death metal act ACHERON, who recently inked a deal with Displeased Records, have issued the following update:

"After there recent signing to Displeased Records, underground metal madmen Acheron head into the studio on September 13th, 2008, to start recording their new album, The Final Conflict: Last Days Of God.

The band is heading back to Mars Recording Compound to work with Bill Korecky.

It has been a more than 5 years since the release of the last Acheron album, Rebirth: Metamorphosing Into Godhood. The album will be a concept album based on the fall of the three major white light religions, Christianity, Islam and Judaism. The release date is set for the album is early 2009.

To celebrate their 20th anniversary and a new chapter for the band, Acheron will be revamping their band logo. Dayton, Ohio, Tattoo Artist, the Reverend Chad Wells will be creating a new logo for Acheron. This will be unveiled in the very near future. See Reverend Wells' work at www.myspace.com/revwells or www.rumblegraffix.com.

Since the band has been signed and the logo will be soon changing, all the merchandise that is available now will not be re-made. This means all demos, shirts, hoodies, jackets and CDs. When they are gone, they are gone for good! So order now while supplies last.

If all goes well, Vincent Crowley will be celebrating his birthday in South America this year, when Acheron invades Brazil December 12th, 2008. The band is planning to do a mini-tour with Swedish Death Metal Legends GRAVE! More information on this tour as it is received.

Two decades have passed and more mayhem and chaos is sure to come! Crowley and Severn are continuing to carry the Acheron flag and keep the fires burning. But it is up to YOU the fans to show your support by buying the albums, seeing their live shows and wearing the band's merchandise. Being in an underground band that doesn't submit to censorship is very hard. No radio airplay to help sell albums. The fans keep bands like Acheron alive. So show your support! Tell your record stores to carry their albums, write to music magazines and say you want to see more about Acheron, and mention to show promoters that you want to see Acheron play live in your town! You are the Legions Of Hatred, time to get your hands dirty! Until next time, Hail Fucking Hatred!!!!!!!"
