ALICE COOPER drummer Glen Sobel (ORIANTHI, SIXX A:M, PAUL GILBERT, IMPELLITTERI) has posted footage of the 2014 Gene Simmons Rock And Roll Fantasy Camp held this past week in Las Vegas, Nevada:
Conregating at the House Of Blues at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, counselors featured at this year's camp included Sobel and fellow drummer Vinny Appice (ex-BLACK SABBATH, DIO, KILL DEVIL HILL), LITA FORD, guitarists Oz Fox (STRYPER) and Nick Cantanese (ex-BLACK LABEL SOCIETY), bassists Rudy Sarzo (GEOFF TATE'S QUEENSRYCHE, ex-DIO, QUIET RIOT) and Phil Soussan (ex-OZZY OSBOURNE,BEGGARS & THIEVES), and keyboardist Teddy "Zig Zag" Andreas (ex-GUNS N' ROSES, Alice Cooper).
KISS guitarist Tommy Thayer was special guest jamming with the campers on various Kiss classics such as ‘Cold Gin’ while GENE SIMMONS spent all Saturday with the attendees mentoring them in the art of creating an original rock tune. Other visiting guests that came to jam with the rockers-in-training included SEBASTIAN BACH, Scott Ian (ANTHRAX), Dave Ellefson (MEGADETH), and Steve Stevens (BILLY IDOL).
