ALICE COOPER Heads Lineup At Du Quoin State Fair

The 2007 grandstand lineup for the Du Quoin State Fair has been announced.
The lineup will feature rock superstar ALICE COOPER along with current country standouts Gary Allan and Joe Nichols.
Also the 26th annual Colgate Country Showdown featuring Lorrie Morgan will be one of the major attractions. A night of Gospel entertainment as well as the big band sounds of Jerry Ford and his Orchestra have been planned.
Multi-platinum country recording artist Gary Allan will entertain Wednesday, August 29th. Allan’s album, Tough All Over, earned him nominations for Academy of Country Music Album Of The Year as well as Single Of The Year. He earned platinum status for his albums Smoke Rings in the Dark, Alright Guy and See If I Care.
Alice Cooper, who several decades ago virtually invented rock as it is known today, is presently on a world-wide tour performing in South America, Europe and Australia, as well as several other countries. He and his group will be returning to the U.S. in early August and are scheduled to play fair dates in Wisconsin and Iowa prior to arriving in DuQuoin for the opening-night show Saturday, August 25th.
