Los Angeles-based ANA KEFR frontman / founder Rhiis D. Lopez has checked in with the following update:

"Dear Friends,

Happy New Year! We apologize for the lengthy delay between shows and appearances, but Ana Kefr was undergoing a reprogramming - we had to work out the bugs and glitches before we could step onto the stage again. Now we feel that we are stronger and better than ever, confident that the new-and-improved sound will pleasantly surprise old and new fans alike. So, without any further ado, we would like to introduce you all to the new members of our Ana Kefr family:

Please extend your warmest welcomes to the new blood within the band! As previously announced, we are performing at the Whisky A-Go-Go on January 24th, 2010, and we will be performing a full set - meaning, you will hear nearly every track from Volume 1, plus a new song. The show will be one you do not want to miss, tickets are $10 and we are already almost out! For the occasion, we have made special, limited-edition dog-tag necklaces - steel dog-tags on 24" necklace chains, the dog-tags' edges encased in a black silencer. Engraved in every steel dog-tag are the words:

These will be on sale for only $2, and will be a special collector's item, a nice piece of memorabilia to show that you were at the first show with the new Ana Kefr!

Also, we have launched the domains of anakefr.com, and anakefrmilitia.com. While these currently route you to the Ana Kefr Myspace and the Ak Militia blogspot, they are intended to eventually be the domains of our official website where there will be much more than Myspace can host. Lastly, we have changed the online merch store to a new and better host, so click on the 'propaganda' icon on the main page to see the new store - however, there are only a few items in there right now as we intend to release a new line of Kefr gear soon.

Again, happy new year to all of you! 2009 was a great year, 2010 is going to be twice the ride. Stay tuned!"
