ANVIL! The Story Of Anvil Soundtrack To Be Released In North America, Japan

As previously reported, the UK release of the soundtrack for ANVIL! The Story Of Anvil has been cancelled. It was to include the new recording, 'Thumb Hang'. However, a soundtrack will be released in North America and Japan. The tracklisting will be different and will include newly recorded versions of Anvil classics. More news will be revealed soon.
Anvil are officially confirmed to open for AC/DC's August 6th date in Moncton, NB at Magnetic Hill. Anvil will also open for the legendary Aussie rockers on July 28 in Boston and July 31 in New Jersey.
In a recent interview with the Download Festival, Anvil frontman Lips updated fans on the band's new material: "The new album we’ve got coming out is called Juggernaut Of Justice,” said Lips. “We’re not sure on a release date, but it’s already been written and recorded."
Anvil has been in the spotlight recently with the release of the critically acclaimed documentary Anvil! The Story of Anvil.
The directorial debut of screenwriter Sacha Gervasi, the film follows Steve 'Lips' Kudlow, Robb Reiner and the rest of Anvil as they continue to follow their dream of achieving fame and fortune after more than 30 years.
The DVD is scheduled to be released in North America on October 6th, 2009. Pre-order below:
