ARKAEA Drop Off KITTIE Tour
October 26, 2009, 15 years ago
ARKAEA - the band featuring FEAR FACTORY members Christian Olde Wolbers (guitar) and Raymond Herrera (drums) - have issued the following message from vocalist Jon Howard:
"Unfortunately Arkaea had to leave the KITTIE tour 5 shows early. I apologize to all my friends and fans who were expecting to see us perform, we'll defiantly make it up to you very soon. For the past week I had been pushing myself to perform with the flu and I hoped it would eventually fade away, but it got worse. Once the sickness moved into my lungs I took my ass to the clinic in Flint Michigan. I had a chest x-ray and it turns out I have pneumonia. The doctor almost put me into a hospital bed I was so bad... I decided my health is the most important and I came home to rest.
A big thanks to everyone on the tour, Kittie, SOiL, STRAIGHT LINE STITCH, crew and the fans for making this tour such a blast! I wish it could have ended on a better note for me, but thats life sometimes.
See you again soon!"
'Gone Tomorrow', the new video from Arkaea, is available below. The clip was filmed by Dale "Rage" Resteghini (HATEBREED, TRIVIUM) and Dan Dobi (BLEEDING THROUGH, CANNIBAL CORPSE).
'Gone Tomorrow' can be found on the band's debut album, Years In The Darkness, which was released in North America on July 14 via E1 Music (formerly KOCH Records). The album was produced by Christian Olde Wolbers and Arkaea, mixed by legendary producer Terry Date (DEFTONES, SLIPKNOT, WHITE ZOMBIE, SOUNDGARDEN, PANTERA) and mastered by Ted Jensen of Sterling Sound, who also mastered Fear Factory’s gold album Obsolete.
Audio samples from the entire album can be heard at this location.
Herrera spoke with Aaron Small from BraveWords.com recently about the album. Check out the chat at this location.
