As previously reported, Gausten recently issued the following update:
"Hi all:Very pleased to announce that Bobby Steele (ex-Misfits) and I will be releasing the new Undead EP, I Made A Monster, at the end of June. This is the first domestic Undead release in eight years and features Bobby on vocals/guitar/bass and yours truly on drums. The EP features three songs, including 'Sometimes You Gotta Laugh At Yourself' from the Troma film, Clown Dad.
We’re throwing a record release party on June 26th at the Trash Bar, 256 Grand St. between Driggs and Roebling, Brooklyn, New York 11211. I’ll be making what could very well be my final live appearance with The Undead during the set to perform the three songs from the EP.
The EP will come in glow-in-the-dark vinyl (!!), as well as blue, 'swamp-monster green', white, red, yellow... and black. The sleeve is actually in the style of a MAD Magazine 'Fold-in'. I will have copies on sale directly from www.gaustenbooks.com within a week or so. More details soon.
As an aside, the date of the record release party is one day shy of the 28th anniversary of the release of the very first Undead record, Nine Toes Later. And no, I wasn’t on that one; I was four at the time. :)
