AVENGED SEVENFOLD - Hail To The King Lands At #1 In The US And Canada

AVENGED SEVENFOLD have topped the Billboard 200 chart with their new album, Hail To The King, landing at #1 with 159,000 copies sold in it's first week out in the US. In Canada, Hail To The King gives the band their first #1 in that country, selling close to 21,000 units.
Earlier this week, guitarist Zacky Vengeance posted the following: "It has been a hell of a ride thus far and having our first #1 album in the UK is a monumental achievement for our fans and us. I remember playing the 100 Club to prove to our fans we were willing to start from the ground up again to earn your respect. Thank you for putting heavy metal back on the throne. We look forward to growing old with you."
Produced by Mike Elizondo, Hail To The King is the follow up to the band's 2010 release, Nightmare, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart, Hard Rock Chart and Digital Chart.
