According to Thestar.co.uk, big band singer Paul Pashley sung it his way when Phil Lynott's mother flew in for a charity concert in his home town of Sheffield.
He serenaded her with a swing version of her son's smash hit 'Dancing In The Moonlight'.
And Philomena, 80 next month, was so touched by his performance of the Thin Lizzy rock classic she told him: "I have to tell you – tonight I saw a star born."
