Hogan Media Relations and MIMEfest 2010 have announced the East Coast Loud Tour - Road To The 2010 East Coast Music Awards, which will bring together all 6 maritime artists nominated for the 2010 East Coast Music Award ‘Loud Recording of the Year’.
The Tour will see BIG GAME HUNT, BLACK MOOR, THE MOTORLEAGUE, SHELTER WITH THIEVES, UNCOOPERATIVE DEATH and WE, THE UNDERSIGNED performing the following 4 dates the week prior to the annual awards and conference.
February
24th – Fredericton, NB - Nicky Zees
25th – Halifax, NS - Gus’ Pub
26th – Moncton, NB - Manhattan
27th – Saint John, NFL - Sun Star Lounge
Outside of the East Coast Music Awards & Conference this is one of the rare occasions where 6 ECMA artists will grace the same stage in one evening let alone in four Maritime cities.
Co-organizer Don Levandier commented, “It's amazing to see bands who would normally never play together being united by an ECMA nomination”.
In addition to helping put together the tour Levandier is also guitar and vocalist in The Motorleague who are nominated for a total of three East Coast Music Awards including the ‘Loud Recording of the Year’ award.
“This is another great achievement for heavy music in Canada’s east coast”, commented fellow organizer and head of Hogan Media Relations and Diminished Fifth Records Josh Hogan who was responsible for having the ‘Loud’ category added to the annual awards back in 2009.“Having all 6 bands nominated for ‘Loud recording of the Year’ to perform this tour together just goes to show how strong the heavy music scene is in this region.”
