BILL WARD on BLACK SABBATH's 13 Album - "Even If It Was The Most Brilliant Album In The World, I Don't Care To Listen To It"
April 19, 2014, 10 years ago
Former BLACK SABBATH drummer BILL WARD is featured in a new interview with Metal Chris at DCHeavyMetal.com, available below. During the interview, found below, Ward comments on not having heard or having any intention of listening to Sabbath's latest album, 13:
Ward: "Maybe if I reach a point of serenity where I'm able to give it a listen but no there's nothing of value in there for me to listen to. I love the guys. I really hope that they receive blessings and wonderful things in their life. But no, I'm not interested in the album. It was something that I wanted to play on. I was completely able to play on it. There's no question in my heart at all. So, you know, even if it was the most brilliant album in the world, I don't care to listen to it."
Ward is gearing up to travel east for a special art event at the Annapolis Collection Gallery in Annapolis, MD. On May 9th and 10th, Ward will appear at the gallery to discuss his fine art series, Absence Of Corners.
Complete details can be found at JoelGausten.com.
In the video below, Ward gives a deeper look into his art piece Sound Shock from his art debut. The piece reflects how his perception has been altered from years of exposure to epic frequencies.
In another short video, Bill discusses Intuitive Peril, the most sought after piece in his art debut collection Absence Of Corners. Vivid, abstract and created from rhythm, Intuitive Peril is a powerful example of Ward's new medium of rhythm-on-canvas.
