BILLY IDOL To Release Self-Written Memoir On October 7th
May 28, 2014, 10 years ago
Rock icon Billy Idol will release his self-written memoir, Dancing With Myself, on October 7th via Touchstone, an imprint of Simon & Schuster, Inc., and in the UK, by Simon & Schuster UK. The book is bold, searingly candid, and written by Idol himself in his inimitable voice.
Dancing With Myself will recount Billy Idol's remarkable life story - from his transient childhood, to his seminal role in the UK punk movement, to his meteoric rise as one of MTV's first megastars - revealing never-before-told tales of the culture, sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll that colored Idol’s experience as he vaulted to the top of the rock kingdom.
Later this week (Thursday, May 29th), Idol will appear at the annual book publishing convention BookExpo America in New York before commencing his 2014 summer tour.
Idol and his band will once again take on Europe this summer. The tour begins at the Sweden Rock Festival on June 7th and rocks through the continent before ending in Dresden, Germany on July 3rd.
