BLACK SABBATH has just left the stage tonight (May 19th) at the O2 Academy in Birmingham, England, the band's first performance in their home city for the first time in thirteen years. The anxiously anticipated (partial) reunion featured guitarist Tony Iommi, singer Ozzy Osbourne, bassist Geezer Butler and drummer Tommy Clufetos replacing original skinsman Bill Ward.

Butler commented after the show: "Thank you, thank you, thank you Birmingham. Best fans ever - you brought out the best in us. It was a privilege playing for you tonight. Tony was a hero - you were the best medicine he has had. Proud to be a Brummie."
