London, England-based rock/blues/folk outfit THE FLUFFY JACKETS check in with the following:

"We are happy to announce that the legendary bassist and founding member of WHITESNAKE, Neil Murray, is currently recording with The Fluffy Jackets.

Neil Murray initially shot to fame in the late 1970s and 1980s as founding member of the successful band Whitesnake where he contributed to hits such as 'Here I Go Again', 'Fool For Your Loving' and 'Still Of The Night'. Since that time he has been working with a number of highly successful recording artists including BLACK SABBATH, OZZY OSBOURNE, ERIC CLAPTON, JEFF BECK, JOE SATRIANI, GARY MOORE, Brian May/QUEEN and the SCORPIONS, to mention a few.

Needless to say, we are honoured to play with Neil Murray; - indeed, who can fail to be impressed by his melodic bass lines on classic Whitesnake tunes such as 'Love Hunter' and 'Black An' Blue'?? In terms of playing the bass, this guy is a natural born talent.

We are currently working on completing the recording in June for a tentative summer 2007 release and we will make some materials available for download here at the Fluffy Jackets MySpace website once we get the tracks ready.

PS: we have uploaded a promo shot of The Fluffy Jackets featuring Neil Murray, courtesy of photographer James Cumpsty, and also a couple of shots from the recording session last week. Have a peek at these in the picture section.
