BLOOD OF MARTYRS - New Album Due "1.1.11"; Audio Preview Available

Detroit journalist/musician Ryan Bartek has announce his return to extreme metal as the new guitarist of Portland-based BLOOD OF MARTYRS.
According to Bartek, the obsessive work of Markus Launsburry (ex-NACHTMYSTIUM/TUB RING), prior Blood Of Martyrs recordings have featured members of SWANS, YOB and LAIR OF THE MINOTAUR, as well as other notable genre musicians.
Continuing themes central to my body of work, Blood Of Martyrs is deeply founded in a leftist sense of tribalism and autonomy from the machine. Deviating from the empty slogans, fashionable shock tactics & cookie-cutter molds that have long held extreme metal hostage, Blood Of Martyrs triumphs the DIY aesthetic.
Remaining apolitical, yet promoting a sense of individual anarchism, Blood Of Martyrs is the tribal warcry of a nationalism inherently exclusive, yet vehemently anti-fascist. Pagan, yet entirely agnostic; mystic, yet humanistic - Blood Of Martyrs represents the ultimate uncomfortable question mark.
The latest recording Even The Dead Long For Spring will be unleashed January 1st, 2011 (1.1.11). West Coast gigs to follow.
