BRIGHTON ROCK vocalist Gerry McGhee has checked in with the following update:

"Okay, it's official: the new remastered Young Wild & Free is done. Special thanks to Harry Hess (HAREM SCAREM) for an awesome job. It will be added to iTunes and new CD remastered and released. The difference is amazing this is the way it should have sounded from Day One."

Young, Wild And Free was Brighton Rock's first full length album. It was released in 1986, and spawned the Canadian hit singles 'We Came To Rock' and 'Can’t Wait For The Night'. The album charted at #82 in Canada and was certified Gold by the CRIA in 1989.

Brighton Rock recently uploaded a fan-filmed, two-camera mix of 'We Came To Rock' shot live at FireFest 2013. They've followed up with footage of the band performing 'Young, Wild And Free' at the festival:

The band wishes to thank Dan Mann and Henrik Hansson for the footage, which was edited by Brian Sword.

Brighton Rock guitarist Greg Fraser recently issued the following update:

"Things are going great in the song writing department but slow in the recording department due to everybody's crazy schedules. We have basically 10 'ghost' tracks of songs recorded and also two songs that are completely finished except the vocals still need to be recorded. We also have hired Ralph Alphonso who used to co-manage Brighton Rock back in the day. Ralph will be taking care of getting gigs and promoting the band with a game plan of some summer shows, maybe some festivals hopefully coinciding with the release of the new BR record."
