hot flashes news burst

Swedish metallers BURST have issued the following update:

"Ahoy there!

Since we've been getting emails from people asking if we are broken up, we figured it's time we started updating our various web sources. Sorry for the negligence - we have good reasons though. The last year has been total and complete focus on writing a new record, and last week we finally entered Studio Bohussound to start recording it. So, in the coming weeks, expect regular written updates, and in time also some form of video documentation and pictures of the recording process.

In the meantime, here's interesting facts about Studio Bohussound:

1. Located in Kungälv, Sweden, just north of Gothenburg.

2. The studio complex is owned by Dragan Tasmanovic (hey - that sounds kinda like 'Dragon'! Awesome!)

3. Dragon's mom makes fucking KILLER cinnamon rolls!

4. On Monday we soundchecked the Patrik's drums. The sound causes earthquakes, according to new facts rendered by seismologist.

5. In 1977, STATUS QUO (yeah!) recorded their classic Rocking All Over The World in this studio.

6. The main mixing console is a Neve 72 channel sound board. In addition, there are more sound gadgets here than is posssible to imagine.

7. The studio complex consists of two recording studios and mixing rooms, a mastering facility, one kitchen and a bunch of leisure areas, as well as an aprtment.

8. Yesterday we watched the making of Metallica's Black Album on DVD (Goddamn it - what is it with Lars Ulrich and his fucking tongue??)

9. There are loads of gold and platinum discs from previous recordings on the walls everywhere. Mostly Japanese pop, for some reason.

10. The studio was built in the early 70's by Swedish country music staples THE STREAPLERS.

11. On Sunday we had wraps for dinner, and yesterday we had pasta with tomato sauce.

Burst's new album is expected in late 2008, to be released through Relapse Records.
