BW&BK Goes Old School Part III – TWISTED Fucking SISTER!
May 9, 2008, 16 years ago
Special report by BW&BK;'s Mark Gromen:
First time I heard about TWISTED SISTER (around ‘80-‘81), a local record store guy told us about them opening for MOTÖRHEAD in New York, saying, “It was the loudest thing I’ve ever heard, even louder than Motörhead!” Well, that piqued my interest. Actually, the music was only half the show, Dee (Snider) and Jay Jay’s (French - sometimes offensive) raps with the crowd were golden moments. Photos here are a compilation of two gigs; Oct. ’83, the only show ever held at the Engineers building in Cleveland, Ohio (QUEENSRŸCHE was opening - notice the Geoff Tate shots!) and then two months later, headlining the Fountain Casino, in Aberdeen, NJ (a concert opened by METALLICA!).
A BW&BK; Old School Photo Gallery can be found here.
Old School photos of METALLICA and SCORPIONS can be seen here; vintage ACCEPT photos, here.
