CAMP FREDDY / BILLY IDOL guitarist Billy Morrison has issued the following update:

"Wow – well here we are in 2011 already. The crazy touring of 2010 is over and I turn my mind to a few things for this coming month of January. And not least is the NAMM show, at the Anaheim Convention Center. I will be hitting the show on Thursday January 13th - appearing at the AKG stand #7800 at 1:00pm with Steve Stevens (we are now in love with the new digital wireless systems they make called the DSR700). And I am happy to tell you that I will be at the Gibson booths 303A+B at 3.00pm to celebrate the first public appearance of my signature Les Paul. Even I haven’t seen the finished thing yet!! I obviously have my flag-painted model, which is the same guitar – plays the same etc, but that is a one-off (unless enough noise is made to warrant doing a limited run of the paintjob – hint hint!!). The model hitting the stores this year is an all-antique white model with gold hardware and a matching antique white headstock. It’s a beautiful looking guitar and I will be at the Gibson booths to see it first hand, take some pics and meet you lot!! So if you are a fan of music, equipment, guitars or simply want something cool to do on a Thursday afternoon – come down and say hi.

Last year was an amazing year for me – both Billy Idol and Camp Freddy had some serious live fun. And there’s some interesting irons in the fire for 2011 for me as well. More will of course be revealed – for now I need to get on with actually working, as opposed to talking about working!! I can tell you that Camp Freddy will be playing a charity show at The Whisky A Go Go on January 24th – not sure about all the details yet, but I know the show is happening. And Steve and Billy and I will continue writing new material and working towards the new Billy Idol album that Billy spoke about during interviews last year. Its all good stuff. See you guys at NAMM!!"
