Evil G. from BareBonesMusic.com recently spoke with CAULDRON's Jason Decay (bass and vocals) about their sound and their new album. The following is an excerpt:

Q: There's no escaping the fact that you guys have a “classic” or NWOBHM sound. Talk a little bit about your sound and approach to it.

A: "We just want our band to sound like bands that we are fans of, the music we listen to and are the most fond of. I don't think we pay a lot of attention to what's going on out there right now, in terms of other bands. I mean usually when I do here something new I can't stand the production, I can't stand how it sounds over processed and compressed. Yeah, I really can't listen to records like that it's not what I want to hear so we just do what we're fans of ourselves instead of what's going on around us. Whether it hurts us or not I don't know."
