CHICKENFOOT To Begin Recording Sophomore Album Next Weekend

CHICKENFOOT bassist Michael Anthony (ex-VAN HALEN) has revealed to The Pulse Of Radio that the band are scheduled to begin recording their sophomore album this coming Saturday, January 29th.

As previously reported, Chickenfoot has 14 songs ready for their second album. Although drummer Chad Smith will be part of the studio sessions for the sophomore CD, he won't be able to tour with the band in 2011 due to commitments with RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS. His road replacement has not yet been announced.

DRUM caught up with Smith at the 2011 Winter NAMM (National Association Of Music Merchants) show in Anaheim, CA at the Anaheim Convention Center. He talked about co-designing the Holy China cymbal with Sabian. Check out the brief chat below:
