hot flashes news chris caffery

SAVATAGE / TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA / DOCTOR BUTCHER guitarist Chris Caffery has issued the following update:

"Writing is starting to pick up...been doing a lot of soul searching musically and really trying to settle into a groove. Not going to overwrite this time, kinda going to take a Spaceballs approach...'Write only what you need to survive!!!' I would rather put 120% into a solid albums worth of songs this time instead of struggling to finish too many. I also do not want to recycle too many unused ideas because I feel if they were that great I would have used them already.

The first song I have been letting a few people hear has a working title of 'I'm Sorry'. Pretty emotional sounding tune. Seems to have some good staying power after a single listen. My goal for this CD is to try to make every song reach people in some way. In the past I had a lot of songs that people would say were there favorites and others that were not, etc. I am going to make a conscious effort to be sure I do not have a single ounce of doubt in any minute of any song. If I doubt it for even a second it is not going on the CD. Will be a lot of work, but I have the time this year and I am going to take advantage of it. Ultimately, I would like the end result to be something I am extremely proud of. I hope you all enjoy it.

I once read a book about the subject of consciousness. Did you know that ninety five percent of our talents as human beings come from the unconscious? The unconscious is very imaginative and creative. We need to find ways to contact it and draw the most from it.

I am experiencing this musically with this CD. Searching into myself to find ideas and emotions that may not be easily reached. But, they are there. I look forward to sharing them with you.

There is a CD title in here somewhere!!!

Back to work..."

Peace!

Chris
