news life in black compos mentis

Danish death/black metallers COMPOS MENTIS have issued the following update:

"We have finally come to an agreement with a label as regards the release of our second opus, Gehennesis, namely the Danish extreme metal label Mighty Music (Mightymusic.dk), which is back after a prolonged break. We are very proud to contribute to the revival of the label and we are certain that they will be able to create the deserved attention on Gehennesis. Thus, we are looking very much forward to the coming cooperation and not least the release of the album in Denmark (February) and the rest of the world (March/April).

Recently we also signed a contract with the Danish booking agency Strange Ears Booking (Strangeears.com) and along with SUBMISSION, DAWN OF DEMISE, and NURSE we now constitute the heavy end of the scale in Strange Ears. We hope and expect that this will give us a better opportunity to meet all you good people at our shows in the years to come! From now on all booking related question should be addressed to (booking@strangeears.com)."

As reported earlier today, Ken Holst (BLOODSOIL, ex-ADVERSARY), who has been a session guitarist in Compos Mentis for the last six months or so, has now been hired as a permanent member of the band. Bo (Damgaard - keyboards) decided to quit the band after seven years due to lack of time. His last show will be this Wednesday, November 8th

at Pakhuset in Aarhus, Denmark with DECADENCE, THE ARCANE ORDER and Nurse. Compos Mentis have also scheduled a date at Maanen, in Haderslev, Denmark on December 8th with LIPID and HATEATHLETES.
