CORONATUS - "East Meets West"
September 19, 2009, 15 years ago
German gothic metallers CORONATUS have issued the following update:
"East meets West! Our new bandmembers come from the USA and from IRAN! Bassist Todd Goldfinger (New York) and guitarrist Aria Keramati Noori (Teheran, Iran) were casted at the beginning of the year, after we had separated from Chriz DiAnno at the bass and had furthermore decided to look for a second guitarist.""I have read Todd's profile in MySpace and heard that he plays like the devil! After all he studied music in New York. I thought, it doesn't hurt to ask", tells our singer Carmen R. Schäfer. And it was worth it! He is also a great asset to our live show. Aria called in reference with our notice at www.musikermarkt-stuttgart.de. "He is only 17 years young, but somehow I believed him on the telephone, that he can play as fast as is needed for our new album and that he was eager to learn additional playing techniques in a short time", remembers Schäfer, "and we were not being disappointed. Our style keeps on developing while maintaining its variety."
Adds the band: "Goldfinger and Noori can be heard on our upcoming CD Fabula Magna (out December 18th via Massacre) and of course also be seen live; Aria due to laws of temporary residence permits only concerts in Germany."
