DARKSIDE have issued a report from the second leg of their recent tour supporting MOONSPELL:

“The second part of our tour with Moonspell started out with meeting the guys back in Munich, where we had the chance to see also all the other bands of the NO MERCY package and meet up with our old friends in ROOT. The show was pretty cool, even there was not that much people, but the afterparty was way better. We were having some nice talks with Mitch from NAPALM DEATH and a few beers with the guys in DEW-SCENTED and BEHEMOTH before we left for Dresden, where we spent the next day as a day off. We had some beers, then some beers and then some more beers, before Danny, our TM rejoined us, after having droven Napalm Death to the airport in Düsseldorf. He must have been on the road forever !!!

First show was in Wroclaw, where we took the opportunity to visit Laboga company, an amp builder, and Janosz, who joined us directly in Wroclaw, got a nice endorsement deal and so he could play the show already with his new amp. The show itself was very nice and so where the people in the audience. DARZAMAT, a polish black-death metal band joined us on this night for the first of three shows.

Next stop was Krakow, which was a real nice venue as I remember. There was lots of pretty women that evening, well nothing really exceptional if you think that it was Poland, haha, but that night we really met some very nice ones...

Coming into Warsaw we heard some stupid moralist wanted to cancel the show because of Moonspell being supposed to be Satanists…get it ?!?!?! In the end, the show happened and it was great. After the show, we had a small party with our friends from VADER, who surprisingly came to see the show – wow !!!

The Kuznia in Bydgoszcz is maybe not the place you would expect to be a metal show, but more a secret gothic meeting…small stage, nice furniture, backstage in reconstruction….anyway, we did it and we didn´t regret it !!! We had to learn that someone stole our laptop in Warsaw, shit !

Zlin! Well, what can I say…loads of friends there, nearly sold out show, a great evening! Czech Republic has always been something like a second home for Darkside and this show made no exception. SIX DEGREES OF SEPARATION and ADOR DORATH were supporting Moonspell and us for a night to remember.

And finally Salzburg…our only 'homeshow' on this tour. Started with some troubles, like people not knowing the show started at 6.30 because all the websites said 8:00pm….well, whatever, we played second that night, sharing the stage with NAILDOWN, SUIDAKRA, ENSIFERUM and of course Moonspell this night, and the few people that were there didn´t regret it I think. And then it was time to say goodbye to our friends.

At this point we would like to thank Fernando, Ricardo, Mike Pedro and Ayres for taking us out on this tour, further Jorge, Towers, Manuel and Paulinho for their help and passion, Danny for his friendship and support and our bus driver for bringing us safe and….sane….well, I don´t know. Extra special thanks also go to Kanzi, our merch-and everything else guy – you rule !

It was a great journey for us and being out there with our mates in Moonspell made it even greater – we owe you guys so much !!!!”
