Finnish thrashers DEAD SHAPE FIGURE have parted ways with bassist Neissu. Singer Galzis has issued the following statement:

"It is truly the most devastating thing an old friend can say to another: 'I'll be leaving.' Being friends in a band is something totally different than being friends otherwise..it's more like a good marriage, right? Anyhow, Neissu has found himself in a situation where no bass playing or music in general raises any interest. For fifteen years of playing in the same bands this is the very first time I'll have to except the fact that there's no 80 inch of knowledge and power at our presence. We wanna thank Neissu for all these many great years that we had together touring and playing and hope that you can some day get your inspiration back buddy. DSF heads for bass player-markets soon."

Dead Shape Figure are currently putting finishing touches to the follow-up to 2008's The Grand Karoshi album which they will be recording soon.
