With the sad demise of British doom metal legends Cathedral in 2013, former guitarist Garry (Gaz) Jennings wasted no time in moving forward, creating his next metal dream. Heralded as one of Britain's most unique, prolific and unsung riff writers, his vast understanding of heavy metal mechanics, coupled with his expert historical knowledge in the field, is certainly not rivaled by many.
The "Sign Of Times" single, out August 5th in North American via Rise Above Records, marks the introduction to his latest metal monster, Death Penalty. Joining him is Belgian female vocalist Michelle Nocon. Her unique style and multi-ranged capabilities give a fresh approach to all that is going on in metal right now. Look out for their self-titled debut album due for release in September.
